Helene spent 18 years at sea as a deck officer and captain before bringing that experience ashore. Alongside her Master Mariner qualification, she holds a Master degree in Naval Architecture and maintains regular refresher courses in industry safety training.
She has presented safety management matters to high-net-worth owners and senior teams, built a safety management system for privately owned passenger ships from the ground up, and maintains working relationships with Flag Administrations, Classification Societies, agents and port authorities.
